Yes, we're getting our puppy in 3 days and a morning! We went back to see them on Sunday, and you could hardly recognize them! They were noisy, active, playful, and they chewed everything because their teeth were coming through. They were soooo funny, bouncing around like little furry lunatics. it was great watching them feed- they ran over, pushing and shoving their way in. Of course, Scrappy, the runt, had a hard time with pushing in past the bigger puppies, but he lives up to his name! This time he decided a quick crawl up the puppies surrounding him and then a head first dive into the food bowl from the top of one of the other puppy's heads would do the trick.
All the puppies had suddenley changed. Splott, Jessie's favourite and possibly the craziest of the lot, has turned into a calm, quiet and sweet puppy. Bramble is probably the prettiest with the most brown, but she's not particularly affectionate although she will have a bit of a snuggle. Scrappy has a big personality and despite his endearing craziness when on the ground, he loves to be held, played with, and he likes to snuggle up to people. Bengo (the only boy) and Lilly are both quiet, affectionate and calm, but, like Splott, big. Our two favourites at the moment are Scrappy and Bramble, Mum and I prefer Scrappy at the moment.
We let the puppies out of their little, um, "room" in the barn to let them have a play in the rest of the barn. They kept escaping under the gate and were really funny. We went to visit them again when it was getting asleep, and Splott and Lilly curled up and went to sleep on my lap! The garden's been doggy-proofed and everyone's very excited.

Profile For The Puppies
Okay, this is my third and final post for today (If you are wondering why I have posted three posts today, it is because I needed to get this blog going with plenty of text to keep readers occupied) and I will be telling you about the puppies.
The puppies are a few weeks old, and it is still quite hard to tell them apart. They still rely on their mother's milk, but they have almost found their feet...um, I mean, paws. All of them are tricolour and they all have those funny little circular eyebrows both of their parents have. When younpick them up, they make funny squealing, squeaking and yelping noises because they're scared, but they soon get used to it. I think they look adorable when they yawn, and some even curl up like a cat to sleep. One of the ones we chose you can tell because he has a thinner white collar than the rest and it goes up to a point like an upside-down V. She curls up into a tight ball when she sleeps, and she's one of the quietist ones. The other we like is my personal fave, and she is the runt of the litter. She's small, sweet, and quiet, and she fell asleep while I was holding her. She buried her head into my coat and had a snooze. It was so funny.
Oh, I just remembered, I'll post pictures later today (and that WILL be the last post)

Profiles Of The Puppy Parents
Hi again!
In my previous post from today, I mentioned the two parents of the puppies. In this post, I decided to tell you a little bit more about the two tricolour collies. So, I've given each parent a few paragraphs about them.
Captain is the father of the puppies. Everyone calls him Cap. He's very large for a Border Collie, and although he's a tricolour, he hasn't got much brown on him (unless it's mud, which it usually is). He has brown circles above his eyes; they look like eyebrows - and they even go up and down like human eyebrows! Although he's big, he's one of the friendliest dogs I've ever met. He's probably only so big because he needs to fit in all that energy. Cap alays likes to wade through the muddiest parts of the farm and never gets tired of playing fetch. He uses whatever he can find lying around, and, basically, the bigger the better! He loves big sticks and is constantly bringing you stuff to throw for him. One time, my sister and I were playing fetch with him (using this weird rubber bandy thing he'd found) when I needed the loo. I came back after I'd been to the toilet to find Cap there to greet me!!! He doesn't even bark at intruders!
Jess is the mother. She's quiet, calm and loves to be the centre of attention. She never barks, (at least, not that I've seen) and is a great mother. She loves a pat on the head and a stroke. Jess is completely calm and trusting; she lets people go in, take out her puppies and hold them, but she still keeps a watchful eye on you (but that's just being a good mother and who can blame her? If some giant took out your baby, you would be watchful, no matter how much you trust the giant, wouldn't you?). Jess isn't as much of a fetch fan as Cap, but she does like to steal his fetch toys and take a walk around the farm. As well as the circular eyebrows that Cap has too, Jess has more brown on her; she has a bit on her legs and some either side of the mouth. Because she's much older than Cap she doesn't bark when she gets excited or bounce around the feilds, she kind of trots along, her tail waving from side-to-side behind her.
If the puppies turn out to be like Cap, Jess or a mix of them both, they'll be lovely, because both of their parents are.
We're going up to see the puppies again on Saturday and also to watch the fireworks, so I can't wait to see the puppies or the parents, because I think both of them are great.

The Art Of Puppy Picking
Hi all!
Yesterday we went to see the Collie puppies, one of which we are (Hopefully) going to buy. The mother and father, and the puppies, belong to my mum's friend. We've been up to see them before. Last time we saw them they were about the size of a Guinea Pig, maybe a bit smaller, and they didn't have their eyes open because they were only a week old. When we were up at the farm (the one that belongs to my mum's friend and the place where the puppies are) I also got to meet the mother and father. The father, Cap, which is short for Captain, is big for a Border Collie and he has brown circles above his eyes as little "eyebrows." He is extremely friendly and loves to play fetch, using whatever he finds around the farm, with me. He is very energetic and, er, bouncy. The mother, Jess, is a real sweetie; old, calm, and a great mum; she lets people go into her kennel, get her puppies out and hold them! (and she doesn't bark, bite or do anything!)
So we went back up to see the puppies again yesterday. That was what we did first. We went up to the barn where the puppies are, and got them out. They had grown a bit, but they were still TINY. Their eyes were open (I think) and they still hadn't quite found their feet; their front legs dragged them along well, but they didn't seem like they were able to use their back legs. They were so cute. Mum chose a favourite, which was the quietist.
Next we went for va walk around the farm. Cap was playing fetch with me the whole time, and he found this massive stick to play fetch with (he likes the biggest sticks best).
Finally, we went back to see the puppies. We held lots; mum hel her favourite, and I held, um...one of them. After, we put them down and watched them suckle and get their milk. One of them even suckled upside down!!! After that, we held them again. I held the runt of the litter and Jess held who she had called "Splott." mum held her favourite again. We said that the two we wanted were the runt that I was holding and the one mum was holding. Obviously, I wanted the one I was holding and Mum wanted the one she was holding. The puppies must have been tired, because mums curled into a perfect ball and had a snooze! Mine, after trying to suckle on my thumb, dug it's head into the fleece-like material on the inside ofd my coat, stretched out, made a few funny noises, and slept. They were so sweet.
By the way, here are some facts about them...

By the way, here are some facts about them...
- They are all tri-colour.
- We chose the two we chose because they were quiet (unlike "Splott" who was very active).
- There are two (a boy and a girl) who are big like their father.
- There is only one boy.
I took a picture f all the babies suckling and of me with a puppy, and I'll post them soon.
